How to calculate the 14-day home quarantine? How many days should I book for a home quarantine hotel?
Home quarantine isn't calculated from the date of arrival, but begins the day after the arrival in Taiwan, ends at midday on the 14th day after arrival, thus making the quarantine period a total of 15 days.

For example: if you arrive at 2pm on 1 April, 2pm on 2 April is counted as one day of quarantine complete. You are released from quarantine at midday on 15 October. When you book the quarantine hotel, make sure the check out date makes the quarantine period a total of 15 nights.If you leave quarantine before you may face criminal charges or a fine.
What should I prepare before boarding the flight to Taiwan?

In response to the spread of the Delta variant globally, Taiwan has tightened health monitoring measures for people entering Taiwan via airport starting on June 27.
A. Travelers arriving in Taiwan from key high-risk countries(including those who have visited those countries in the past 14 days and those who have transited in those countries): after they enter Taiwan via airport or port, such travelers will be required to quarantine in group quarantine facilities for 14 days and undergo PCR tests for COVID-19 upon checking in at group quarantine facilities and at the end of their quarantine period; such travelers are not required to pay group quarantine facility accommodation and testing fees. Currently, "key high-risk countries" include Brazil, India, the UK, Peru, Israel, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.
B. Travelers arriving Taiwan from countries other than the seven countries will be required to stay in a quarantine hotel or a group quarantine facility at their own expense for 14 days after arrival; they shall also undergo a PCR test before the end of their quarantine period.
C. Flight crew members of Taiwanese airlines, after returning to Taiwan from "key high-risk countries", shall undergo quarantine in a quarantine hotel or a company dormitory that meets related regulations for 14 days and take a PCR test at the end of their quarantine period.
｜Self-health management measures｜
The 6 principle rules shall be followed for people practicing enhanced self-health management or those observing regular self-health management.
Prohibited gatherings and activities: You are prohibited from engaging in close or cluster activities with other individuals such as having meals together, gatherings, public gatherings, or other similar activities.
Reduce the time spent in crowded areas: You may go about your life normally. If you must go outside, avoid entering areas where you cannot maintain social distance (1.5 meters indoors and 1 meter outdoors) or areas where you are likely to come into close contact with random people.
Taking the temperature twice daily: During the self-health management period, please record the body temperature twice a day in the morning and evening and record health conditions and activities.
Always wear a mask when in public: If you do not exhibit any symptoms,please wear a medical mask correctly at all times.
Postponing non-essential treatment: Non-essential or non-urgent medical services or examinations must be postponed. In the event that urgent medical services are required, you must actively contact the local Department of Health or call 1922 and follow instructions to seek medical attention.
Visitation for patients who are Covid-19 negative: You may not stay with a hospitalized individual in a hospital. If you do not exhibit COVID-19 symptoms such as fevers, coughs, diarrhea, loss of smell or taste, or respiratory symptoms, you can visit hospitalized individuals after testing negative in accordance with the regulations concerning the Application Form for Out-of Pocket PCR Testing for COVID-19.
Those who flout the self-health management regulations will violate Article 58 of the Communicable Disease Control Act, and be fined ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$150,000 in accordance with Article 69 of the Act.
