ASQ Useful Information
1. Can anyone freely book an ASQ hotel and what happens if I book a room for more than 1 person?
Before you book, you must verify with your local Thai embassy (or other relevant authorities) that you are eligible to travel to Thailand and that no restrictions apply to the country (countries) from which you are about to depart.
If you book a room with more than 1 guest per room, you may need to provide additional documents such as:
Marriage certificate; or
Birth certificate/adoption certificate (children 15 or under)
2. How will I know what documentation is required and when do I need to submit?
On the day that you make your booking, the accommodation partner will request (via email) all the required documentation to allow them to confirm the booking. Please note, the Certificate of Entry must be submitted at least 3 days before your flight departs. Processing the required documents, completeness of this process, and/or lack or inaccuracy of any of the required documents is strictly between the booker and the accommodation partner.
The documents required to confirm an ASQ booking varies by accommodation partner. Commonly required documents include the following, but it is your responsibility to check what documents are required for your individual booking:
Passport photo page
Thai ID Card (for Thai Nationals)
Certificate of entry (COE)
Address of stay in Thailand after ASQ
Travel insurance covering at least USD 100,000 and/or
Parental consent for children (15 or under) staying alone
Please submit all documents as early as possible to allow the accommodation partner enough time to review and approve the documents and acknowledge their acceptance of the required documents.
3. Who is responsible for getting all of the relevant documents together and who decides what documents are needed?
It is your responsibility to provide the accommodation partner with all of the required documents in a timely manner through the accommodation partner’s requested method. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled. The accommodation partner will reach out to you directly (via email or otherwise) for any and all documentation required to fulfill your booking. mrhost will not be involved at all in requesting, receiving, or processing these documents. The accommodation partner decides what documents are needed. mrhost has no say in an accommodation partner’s decision to approve/reject any documents.
4. What happens if I have to cancel my booking and the cancellation period has lapsed?
You will be charged the cancellation penalty fee and refunded the remaining amount. Waiving of the cancellation penalty fee is subject to the accommodation partner’s discretion. You may also choose a new date however this depends on the accommodation partner’s consent and availability (you may be required to pay any price difference, if applicable).
Terms & Conditions
Please make sure that you are eligible for an ASQ stay before making a booking.
The period of your stay must be 15 nights as mandated by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. This period may be subject to change, as advised from time to time by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. Should the mandatory stay period change, changes may not apply retroactively to your booking and your booking will remain for a period of 15 nights. In the event that the mandatory period changes, mrhost will contact the hotel and request changes the booking, but no guarantee is provided in this regard.
Bookings must be made at least 7 days prior to the check-in date to allow enough time for the hotel to review and process the required documents.
The guest is responsible for the provision of all documentation required for the booking in accordance with the timelines set out by the hotel.
The hotel is responsible for reviewing and providing an acknowledgement of their acceptance of the ASQ specific required documents submitted. If the guest fails to provide the required documents and/or does not receive acceptance by the hotel at least 3 days before the check-in date, the guest may be required to change the booking. Without changes, the booking may be cancelled and not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation & change policies:
The guest will be informed of the cancellation policy when making the booking and in the booking confirmation.
Cancellation policies may differ between hotels. Please review the cancellation policies before making a booking.
The waiving of any cancellation fees is solely the decision of the hotel.
Any refund of the remaining room nights/balance for any reason (i.e. a reduction in the mandated period from 15 nights) after check-in is solely at the decision of the hotel.
Failure to provide the required ASQ documents to the hotel at least 3 days before the check-in date may result in a cancellation of your booking in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy and may not be eligible for a refund.
Any additional services (such as access to gym equipment, swimming pool, delivery service, etc.) may vary and are subject to change by the hotel and/or government guidelines. Please contact the hotel for any questions.
Additional quarantine restrictions may apply in accordance with the hotel’s safety policy and government guidelines.
Please be aware that all requirements relating to ASQ are decided by the Thai Ministry of Public Health and/or hotels.
