The first visit late nov- early dec (10days)we stayed here the rooms were very clean and spacious(we stayed in the joyful twin and superior double suite). Cleaning staff was very friendly. We were here as my friend had surgery and wanted to stay at a place to rest. Very quiet and rooms are general quite sound proof. Area is nice with a 7-11 and Hi-Life right across the hotel and also with lots of food delivery option. Front desk staff are very helpful.and friendly.As we had a great experience, we decided to book a classic double or twin room from 12/31-1/2. However, this time the experience was horrible. This time around we booked thru agoda and the option to select a large bed or twin bed was there so we selected a large bed. After check-in, we went to the room (507)and found it to be two twin bed so asked the front desk. They insisted bc we booked a twin room there was nothing they can do(but the room is double or twin room). I had to show my booking details to the receptionist and his response was bc it was thru agoda it’s not their responsibility. I could had moved the beds together myself but didn’t want to make it difficult for the always friendly cleaning staff. After 10mins back and forth, they provided another room(well telling me it is an upgrade) which it is NOT. I stayed in that room during our first visit. The tv connection was horrible(didn’t complain the first visit bc we only stayed in that room for one night) yet this time it is the same type room (any room with an 01 ending) so we checked the tv and literally the tv would freeze so we called, they said they would come check, after 10mins my friend went down with a video of the issue, yet was told they will come check in 10mins (keep in mind it was 9:30pm and there wasn’t a lot of people checking in. One of the receptionist came up played around with it and we mentioned that in 401 we had the same issue the first time(this time was 1101) the response was yes this side of the hotel has bad reception…my friend continued to mention they should have informed the guests? So the solution was moving us to another room. We ended up in 807, which is exactly the same as 507 but with the twin bed put together… there were mutiple room opened and they could have just gave us that room to begin with…dont understand their logic and there was no apologtic attitude instead a why do i need to help you and a snobby attitude…def not great as we were paying above typical room rate (ntd 5000+/night). Also if you want to ask for a late check-out, expect to pay an additional NTD400/hr.Then with the shower the door doesn’t close so everytime we took a shower, expect half of the bathroom to flood. The one blanket on the large bed literally was half empty, so we had to ask for an extra bed… def not a good experience.If you want to stay here i highly suggest you to check-in during the morning or early afternoon as that shift all the receptionist are extremely helpful and professional unlike the afternoon to 11pm shift where the two receptionist was more interested to play on the computer instead of helping the guests.Would i still stay here? Yes and no, yes bc i won’t judge them base on two people’s lack of service attitude but no bc i could get another hotel elsewhere with the same price but less attitude. Wonder why there’s so many 5 star ratings? That’s because you get free snacks and alittle present if you give 5 stars. It is on a sign at the counter and the staff would ask you when you check-out😤
